Gibbs Hightower IV stands as a beacon of leadership and commitment within our community. With a robust background in public service and a relentless drive for progress, Gibbs has dedicated his career to making a tangible difference in the lives of those around him.
Gibbs holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and a Master of Science degree in Project Management, both from Sam Houston State University. His educational foundation is bolstered by real-world experience, including years of managing local and international creative teams. He has led numerous projects that directly impacted corporate growth and notoriety. Currently, he serves as the Print Production Project Manager for the tech-ed company Accelerated Learning Inc., overseeing the creation of math and science student notebooks for elementary through high schools across the nation. Gibbs manages a team of 15 graphic designers and collaborates with overseas vendors to deliver successful projects. His ability to handle complex tasks and coordinate across different time zones has been instrumental in achieving project goals and driving innovation.
An original initiate of the Southern Region, Gibbs has been an active developer of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. since January 20, 2006, chartering the Zeta Omicron chapter at Sam Houston State University and serving as its first Polaris. For 18 years, he has continually served and expanded the brotherhood of the Southern Region and nationally, holding numerous leadership and marketing roles such as Southern Region Marketing Team, Southern Region Assistant Regional Polaris, and National Director of Marketing. Several national, regional, and local fraternal logos, national fraternal videos, and initiative campaigns were curated by Bro. Gibbs Hightower. Currently, he serves as the National Director of Social Media, boosting the visibility of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. to an average of 400,000 views a week within the US and internationally. He is also the Polaris and a charter member of the Gamma Upsilon Omega alumni chapter in Fort Bend County, where he has successfully assembled a strong chapter leadership team, navigated the chapter through COVID-19, and grown it to over 45 members in just six years.
